P&C Annual Fee

February 15th, 2018 | Posted by P&C President

Oatley P&C fees are now due for 2018. The fees are set at $6 per family and will be spent entirely on supporting student education programs. P&C member registration and fees are a mandatory government requirement for all incorporated Associations. This allows our P&C to operate as a legal entity providing among other benefits, an added level of legal protection for our committee and volunteers. Incorporation also allows the P&C to apply for significantly larger government grants for special projects.

Payment Options:

• Cash: Please return the form and money to the P&C mailbox in the school office in an envelope clearly labelled P&C Membership Fees.

• Flexischools: You can pay via Flexischools, but please return slip below to the office and indicate that you have paid via Flexischools.  Please note: This option will be up & running early next week.

The P&C AGM will be held on 14th March at 7:00pm. You must be a financial member to vote in the AGM.

Your child will receive a hard copy note next week, but a copy can also be found here: Oatley P&C fee note 2018. NB: The fee is per family, regardless of the amount of children you have at the school.

Fees are due by 31 March 2018.

OPS Building Fund

February 13th, 2018 | Posted by P&C President

Oatley Public School’s Building Fund raises money for the construction, improvement and maintenance of school buildings.  The Fund is operated by the School Building Fund Committee, which is part of the school’s P&C.

But we need your support!  The P&C is requesting contributions to the Building Fund.  If you run a business you could also contribute via that or potentially ask your workplace if they would be interested in making a donation.  Thank you to the families who have already made their contribution.

This year, we are aiming to raise $20,000 to fund the following projects:
*install a ventilation unit, replace extractor fans and install a second retractable food safety screen in the canteen
*replace the fixed projector screen in the school hall
*replace four air conditioning units

Thanks to the generosity of our school community and local businesses, since the Fund’s inception in 2016 we have been able to:
*contribute $9,000 towards the new shelving in the Library
*replace the ventilation unit in the school hall roof
*install a retractable food safety screen in the canteen
*contribute $6,500 towards the refurbishment of the hall floor, stage and steps

All donations help, no matter how big or small.  Donations over $2 are tax-deductible.  For more information and to download the form, please click here: OPS Building Fund form – fees 2018

Coles Sports for Schools program

February 12th, 2018 | Posted by P&C President

Coles is once again running their Sports for Schools program. Every $10 spent at Coles* during the program, will earn a Coles Sports for Schools voucher. The more vouchers we collect, the more sports gear we can receive. Vouchers can be collected until 3 April.

Please ask your friends and family to also collect their vouchers for our school. There will be a collection box in the Administration building, however this is still due to arrive. In the interim you can put the vouchers in the white P&C mailbox (near the Aboriginal art installation).

Coles Online customers will not receive physical Vouchers at time of delivery. During the Campaign, Coles Online customers must register to receive Vouchers for their Coles Online transactions. At the time of registration, Coles Online customers will be required to select their nominated school to receive any Vouchers earned during the Campaign. Transactions for registered Coles Online customers will be recorded and a Voucher tally will be calculated on all Vouchers earned. At the expiry of the Campaign, Coles Online customers will be advised by e-mail of the details of their final Voucher tally. Vouchers will then be transferred to the nominated school’s online tally without any further action required by the customer.

*Excludes insurance products, gift cards, liquor, fuel, tobacco and related products, mobile phones, recharge and calling cards.

Thank you for your support!
